Success at Formula Student Germany – MOBA-sponsored vehicle shines at Hockenheimring

The lambda-D2018 drove against 16 other driverless racing cars at Hockenheimring last week as part of the Formula Student Germany and succeeded in crossing the finish line as one among three self-built vehicles! MOBA Mobile Automation AG is particularly proud to have made this success possible for TU Darmstadt Racing Team e.V. (DART) and looks forward to the further development of the prototype for the next competition in 2019.

Every year, student teams from around the world demonstrate their skills during Formula Student. In several races on prestigious racetracks throughout Europe, the self-built vehicles are put through their paces. But the international student competition demands much more than a good performance on the circuit. The overall ranking also includes achievements in planning, construction and marketing strategies.

A participation thus not only demands the highest technical know-how, but a holistic strategy in the development and conception of vehicles. This particularly challenging competition offers young talents the opportunity to further develop their practice-oriented skills in several disciplines simultaneously.

The sponsoring of the student team from Darmstadt is only one of many support measures for young talents of the technology company from Limburg an der Lahn. Daily as well as experimental handling of innovative technologies is a standard requirement nowadays. Giving talented people the opportunity to be future-oriented is therefore a far-sighted measure for the progress of the industry.
