PRECISE LEVELING STARTS WITH
better control
From visual laser guidance to automatic blade control, MOBA laser systems help operators and equipment manufacturers maintain a reliable grade or level reference across construction, earthmoving, agricultural and specialty leveling applications.
FROM LASER REFERENCE TO AUTOMATIC CONTROL
Laser control can be as simple as showing an operator where grade is or as complete as automatically adjusting a hydraulic blade. The right setup depends on the machine, the work being done and how much control the operator needs.
SET THE REFERENCE
A rotating laser transmitter establishes a consistent reference plane across the work area for grading or leveling.
GUIDE THE OPERATOR
Machine-mounted laser receivers show whether the blade or attachment is high, low or on grade, giving the operator a clear reference while they control the machine.
CONTROL THE BLADE AUTOMATICALLY
For applications requiring automatic control, laser receivers work with a MOBA controller and the machine hydraulics to adjust blade position relative to the laser reference.
BUILT AROUND THE EQUIPMENT DOING THE WORK
The same basic laser-control principle can be applied across a range of machines and attachments. The system configuration changes with the equipment and the job.
CONSTRUCTION GRADING
Skid steer and CTL grader blades, box blades, tow-behind graders and other grading attachments can use laser guidance or automatic control to help maintain the required surface.
LAND & AGRICULTURAL LEVELING
Tractor-mounted blades, land levelers and agricultural grading equipment can use the same laser reference principle where consistent elevation matters across a larger work area.
SPECIALTY LEVELING
Arena graders, turf and sports-field equipment, and other hydraulically controlled leveling attachments can also be configured around laser guidance or automatic blade control.
HOW AUTOMATIC LASER CONTROL WORKS
Automatic laser control connects the reference in the field to the hydraulics controlling the blade.

ESTABLISH REFERENCE
A rotating laser transmitter creates the required reference plane across the work area.

DETECT BLADE POSITION
Laser receivers mounted on the blade detect whether the blade is above, below or on the laser reference.

PROCESS THE SIGNAL
The MOBA controller uses the receiver information to determine the required correction.

ADJUST THE BLADE
The system interfaces with the machine's hydraulic valves to raise or lower the blade as needed.
BUILDING A GRADING OR LEVELING MACHINE OR ATTACHMENT?
For equipment manufacturers, the application does not stop at the laser receiver.
MOBA can help determine how the receiver, control and hydraulic interface should work together on the machine. The system can be adapted around the attachment, hydraulic configuration and the way the operator needs to control the blade.
Depending on the application, the solution can include:
- One or more laser receivers
- CB.D3 or DUO3 control
- Interface to proportional or solenoid hydraulic valves
- Integration with the machine joystick
- Standalone joystick control
- Auxiliary button controls
- Application and integration support
ESTABLISH THE REFERENCE
GRADE & LEVEL LASERS
Rotating laser transmitters establish the reference plane used for grading and leveling work.
Depending on the application, the laser provides the consistent reference used by the operator or machine-mounted receiving system.
